Once in a while you read something that saddens you beyond belief yet is totally uplifting. Dan Bayes is the son of the cellarman of one of my clients, Wold Top Brewery who lost his fight against an aggressive cancer aged just 25 earlier this year.
The brewery owners, Tom and Gill Mellor, had known Dan since he was a child and were awestruck both by the positive attitude adoped by the Bayes family and by the support that they received from the Candlelighters Charity, a Leeds based children’s cancer charity.
